BERMUDA STRAW
Nothing Goes to Waste
Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) is a perennial warm-season grass grown on a large scale in California's Imperial Valley. While it's primarily grown for seed used in commercial and residential turf, it's also a valuable source of animal feed.

Once the seed is harvested, the remaining stems and leaves are baled as Bermuda Straw. The result is a clean, economical forage that's fed both domestically and internationally, making good use of a crop that's already been grown for another purpose.Â
Benefits
Bermuda Straw is a practical, economical forage with benefits for both cattle operations and the land:Â
