Once the Brawley plant was operational, the company had an initiative to become more diverse within different sectors of the business. Whether it’s company farming, supply expansion, logistics, operations, packaging or enhanced customer service, Border Valley Trading has made diversity a priority these past 19 years.

These are a few of those accomplishments during this time:

• Expand the Brawley facility to store and process 140,000 st/yr.
• Build out the Turlock facility to store and process 40,000 st/yr.
• Expand "customer specific" storage sites at both locations.
• Process big bale products at both locations.
• Control logistics through company owned fleet of 20 trucks.
• Capitalize on other logistic models with new partners.
• Expand company farming to 1,500 plus acres.
• Expand other joint venture farming programs.
• Expand supply from Mexico to Oregon, into Utah and Nevada.
• Expand product lines and grading for greater customer choices.
• Expand packaging options for greater customer choices.
• Establish erosion control business to utilize plant by-products (Greenfix America LLC).
• Establish cattle feeding operation to utilize plant by-products (Mesquite Cattle Feeders LLC).
• Become member of beef packing plant to help market cattle raised in our feeding operations (Brawley Beef LLC).
